Work
Package 5 (WP5): Development of integrated generic tool
Start
date or starting event: Month 27
Objectives
and input to workpackage
The
objective of this workpackage is to bring together the results obtained
from the previous 4 workpackages (WP1 to WP4) to produce the guidelines
and basic building blocks for a generic integrated management tool.
The task will combine the stakeholder and network aspects of the
work into an integrated methodology that can be applied to any catchment
anywhere in Europe, and indeed anywhere in the world.
Methodology
/ Description of work
The
University of Castilla La Mancha will lead this workpackage,
which will start at month 27. There will be contributions from all
partners. The task will bring together all the elements of the previous
workpackages to produce a set of guidelines to construct a generic
integrated management tool.
The
objective will be achieved through a series of meetings between
all partners where the lessons learned from each of the case studies
will be taken into account. At these meetings a series of questions
will need to be posed. For example, can we use the same format for
stakeholder meetings in all countries or do cultural and social
difference mean that regional variations in approach have to be
considered? If so, this needs to be highlighted in the final guidelines.
A further question may seek to establish whether there are any common
variables and links in each of the networks.
By
examining the experience of all the case studies a comprehensive
set of guidelines to set up a generic integrated management tool
that will be applicable throughout Europe will emerge. The case
studies themselves will be included in the final package as worked
examples of how this tool can successfully be applied.
